So easy, with lots of buttery garlic flavor, this Baked Shrimp is fast and versatile. Serve it on its own, or over pasta or rice. This is dinner in a hurry!
I love that shrimp recipes are so easy and fast! If you want something spicy, try this Cajun Shrimp – it only takes about 10 minutes to make!
You all know I’m all about the fast, easy recipes. And it doesn’t get much easier than when shrimp is for dinner!
I love that this recipe literally takes minutes to throw together, and the dishes are minimal, as well. Plus it’s a great source of protein, and it tastes amazing.

Ingredients
- Shrimp: I like to use larger shrimp with the tails still on. You can definitely take the tails off, though – which make it easier to eat.
- Butter: I like to use unsalted butter so I have more control over the amount to salt. If you do use salted butter, just add less extra salt.
- Garlic: The recipe calls for 4 cloves of garlic, but feel free to add more or take some away, depending on how much garlic flavor you like.
- Lemon Juice: You’ll want to use fresh lemon juice – bottled lemon juice won’t give you the same fresh flavor.
- Salt and Pepper: Add these to taste. I always like a lot of salt and pepper!
- Parsley: This is optional – it just adds some color and freshness at the end.
How to Make Baked Shrimp
STEP 1: Mel the butter in a small saucepan. Add the garlic and let it cook for another minute or so, until the garlic is nice and fragrant.
STEP 2: Stir in the lemon juice. The season to taste with salt and pepper. Remove this from the heat.
STEP 3: Place your shrimp in a baking dish.
STEP 4: Pour the butter mixture over the shrimp. Use a spoon to gently stir the shrimp around, making sure that they are all coated in the butter. Then arrange them in a single layer as best as possible.
STEP 5: Bake the shrimp just until it is pink and cooked through. It should only take around 10 minutes, depending on how big your shrimp are.

Tips and Tricks
The cook time will be different depending on this size of your shrimp. Smaller shrimp will cook faster than bigger shrimp. My advice is to just keep an eye on it and take them out when they turn pink.
You can serve this shrimp as is as an appetizer or as a main dish. If serving as a main, I like to serve it with rice, pasta, or even a nice slice of French bread.
This recipe is best when it is fresh, but if you do have leftovers, store them in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. You’ll want to reheat it very gently, as the shrimp will become rubbery if they are overcooked.

Baked Shrimp
Ingredients
- 1 pound raw, peeled and deveined medium to large shrimp
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic ,minced
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- Salt and pepper
- Fresh minced parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
- Place the butter in a small saucepan and melt. Add the garlic and sauté for a few minutes, then stir in the lemon juice. Season to taste with salt and pepper,
- Place the shrimp in a baking dish, then pour the garlic butter over the shrimp. Stir gently to coat the shrimp with the butter.
- Bake in the preheated oven until the shrimp are pink, 8-15 minutes.
- Sprinkle with parsley and then serve.
