Visiting St. George, Utah? Breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert – here are 5 must visit restaurants in St. George for next time you are in this southern utah town!
Ahhh, St. George. Only 300 miles from Salt Lake City, St. George Utah is the perfect place to head for a weekend escape from the cold winter. If you are an outdoor enthusiast, this is your city. With Zion National Park right next door and other national parks only a hop, skip and a jump away, you can hike, bike and camp to your heart’s content. And did I mention Las Vegas is only 90 miles away?
My sisters, sister in law, mom and I headed down to sunny St. George for a weekend to celebrate my sister’s birthday. We didn’t go down with concrete plans – but we knew we wanted to eat!!
Let me start this guide by saying that this is not a comprehensive list of the best places to eat in St. George. I haven’t spent nearly enough time there to be an expert in that. And when I travel, I usually like to look for local restaurants. But this trip was a little different. I didn’t do any research ahead of time, we were there for my sister’s birthday, and I just went along with the flow. But guess what? Everywhere we ate was SO good! Good enough that I would recommend them all.
So I decided to compile my little list, make you a video, and share with you 5 must visit restaurants in St. George, Utah!

And here are all the details!
Viva Chicken
Limena Chopped Salad
I have heard raves for Viva Chicken for quite some time now. I actually went here once last summer when we passed through on our way to California. But I got it to go, I had fussy children, there was a downpour, and it was just a rough night all together. So by the time I actually got to eat it, it was good but not as magical as I was expecting. But this time changed my mind. 100%. This is sort of a quick eats Peruvian restaurant. I’m not calling it authentic, but I am calling it delicious. Seriously – I think I tried some of everyone’s food, and now I have a serious lasting craving.
One of the most raved about menu items is the Quinoa Stuffed Avocado. So, so good. But this time I opted for a salad. I got the Limena Chopped Salad and ended up eating almost the whole thing!! One sister had the Serrana Cobb Salad (which isn’t on their website for some reason) and it was so, so good. Or get the quarter chicken for yourself, or a whole chicken for the family to share. And don’t skip out on the Arroz Chaufa (fried rice) because it is amazing!
You’ll also want to check out their sauces – there is a red, yellow and green. The green is spicy, but I love it!

Nielsen’s Frozen Custard
A Utah staple, Nielsen’s Frozen Custard opened in the early 1980s and has expanded over the state and beyond. They have won multiple awards for their frozen custard. Their concretes are the most popular – you can choose between chocolate and vanilla and then get creative with your mix-ins. Some of their locations serve grinders, but this location on St. George Blvd only serves the frozen custard. It was super busy when we got there, but service was quick and the custard was delicious!!

Twentyfive Main
TwentyFive Main is the only truly local restaurant we visited, and it was just for dessert. But it was my favorite stop for the weekend. My sister had been raving about their cupcakes, so we stopped off for dessert in between hiking and a spa appointment.
And oh. my. goodness.
These were some of the best cupcakes that I have ever had. Especially the toasted coconut. But really, you can’t go wrong with any of them. I know this because I may have tried a bite of each of them.
These cupcakes are super moist, the perfect density, and the frosting is perfectly creamy and sweet. I literally have no complaints. Except that I don’t have one in front of me right now.
TwentyFive Main also has food, and I really hope to try it all next time I’m in St. George!

The Egg & I
Cambridge Skillet
I had actually never heard of The Egg & I, even though there are locations all over the US. We went for breakfast, and were all very happy with our choices. I ended up going with their Cambridge Skillet, and fell absolutely in love. My mom had one of the benedicts, a sister and sister in law both had the French toast, and my other two sisters had their skillet that was on special. (By the way – that one had a sauce on it that was incredible. I wanted to buy it by the gallon.)
I am a total breakfast lover, and this breakfast earned two thumbs up from me. It didn’t hurt that our server was amazing, so the whole experience was great.

Even Stevens
Pot Roast Dip
Even Stevens is taking the world by storm. They opened their first sandwich shop in Salt Lake in 2014, and have already expanded throughout Utah, Arizona, Idaho, Colorado, Texas and Washington. The super cool thing about Even Stevens is that for every sandwich purchased, they give a sandwich to a local non-profit. So you are not only feeding yourself, but helping to feed others in the process!!
I had my first Pot Roast Dip from Even Stevens years ago and have been hooked since. In fact, I rarely steer away from it. But I do also love the Do Gouda, and the party tots are super delicious. I will never say no to Even Stevens!
