An easy dip that is perfect for vegetables, this Dill Dip only takes minutes to prepare. It doesn’t get more simple than this!
Want another dip perfect for veggie dipping? Try this Spinach Dip!
I love having a variety of vegetables on hand for snacking.
But my family will really go to town on those vegetables when there is a dip involved.
And this Dill Dip is one of our favorites.
It only takes minutes to mix together, and the we can keep it in the fridge with our vegetables to snack on for days. But it doesn’t usually last that long.
This is also a great dip to take along to a family party or pot luck. It’s easy, and who doesn’t love a good vegetable dip?
Ingredients
- Mayonnaise: The mayonnaise makes this a bit tangy, and super creamy. Low fat mayonnaise will work.
- Sour Cream: The sour cream also makes this dip creamy. It is also thicker, so it gives the dip a great consistency.
- Dill: I used to make this dip with dried dill, but I like the flavor with fresh dill much better. But if you do want to make it with dried, you’ll want to use 1 tablespoon of dried.
- Parsley: I do use dried parsley, but you can use fresh parsley if that is what you have on hand.
- Onion Powder: I like using onion powder so that you get the onion flavor without adding chunks or more moisture.
- Seasoned Salt: The seasoned salt will add more flavor than just using salt.
How to Make Dill Dip
This recipe is really as easy as they come!
STEP 1: Add all of the ingredients to a bowl.
STEP 2: Mix until combined, then refrigerate for 2 hours or more.
Tips and Tricks
I would say this is primarily a vegetable dip, but it is actually delicious with tortilla chips, as well.
The longer this dip sits in the refrigerator, the more the flavors have time to infuse. We’ve eaten this in as little as 2 hours, and up to 3-4 days. And while it is still delicious after just 2 hours of refrigeration, I would suggest making it the night before you need it.
Store this dip covered in the refrigerator. Keep it chilled.

My husband too eats the same thing for lunch every day. PB and J, chips and chocolate chip cookies. I don’t know how he does it.

Deborah, trust me men are a lot worse when it comes to becoming/feeling “fat”. Raw veggies and dips are a great snack for us at home too and I love the sound of this dip.

Haha!! I actually get the same comments from co-workers about how nice I am to pack his lunch – I really do it because I know if I don’t, he’ll stop and get something and end up spending $20!! So really, I’m not so nice, just trying to save some money!

Lucky man! A wife that packs daily lunch 🙂

You have some very lovely photos on your site. I really struggle with mine. You should see how many I have stored in iPhoto. Jeez. This recipe is similar to one I make with spinach. And I definitely need to do the lo-cal thing all ’round. The baking on my site is killing me. If I could eat the photos, that would be great. *sigh*

My husband would love it if I packed him a lunch anything like what you do for your husband. I may need to go to wife school. I think I’m doing okay on the mummy front.
