This sauce tastes so much like the original, but you’ll know exactly what goes into it and can control the quality of those ingredients. And let’s be honest – there is very little that this sauce is not good on, so you’ll be wanting to make it regularly!
Ingredients
If you’re wondering what is in Chick Fil A Sauce, you’ll be surprised to know that you can make this homemade version that tastes almost identical to the restaurant version. And these ingredients are ones that most people always have on hand! Here is what you will need:
- Mayonnaise: For the best results, you’ll want to use regular, full fat mayonnaise.
- Barbecue Sauce: Use a barbecue sauce that you like. You want to use an original barbecue sauce, not a honey barbecue or spicy barbecue. I used Sweet Baby Ray’s.
- Honey: I like to use a raw honey, but any honey will work.
- Yellow Mustard: Use a regular, prepared yellow mustard – not a brown or Dijon mustard.
- White Vinegar: The vinegar brings in the tang that the sauce needs.
- Paprika: You just need a dash of paprika. Don’t skip it, though – it really makes this sauce!

- This sauce can be used right away, but it is even better if it has had some time in the refrigerator. I like to refrigerate it for about an hour before I want to use it.
