I wasn’t going to post a dessert today, because I have a whole week of red velvet desserts coming to you next week. But then I realized that I haven’t even posted a dessert at all for 2 weeks now, and really, I don’t think I’ve ever gone that long without posting a dessert!!
So I am here with cookies. And not just any cookies. Banana Split Cake Mix Cookies.
Now, I’ll admit that I do love a good cake mix cookie every once in awhile. And it’s pretty obvious that all of you do because the cake mix cookies I posted in 2007 are still the #2 recipe here.
Today’s recipe has a few more ingredients mixed in, but you get an incredibly flavorful cookie with very little effort. You don’t even need a mixer – these come together by hand in a matter of minutes!! They are super soft and full of banana, chocolate and cherry flavors. And don’t forget the sprinkles!!

Love that you can whip these together in a matter of minutes! I doubt anyone will complain that you posted a cookie recipe before a week of red velvet recipes. I can’t wait!!
PS. Your photos from 2007 are better than mine in 2013, haha! 🙁

Deborah,
Your cookies look lovely–soft, fluffy, and happy.
Last night we polished off a zucchini triple chip spice cake that mixed up so easily thanks to a box of spice cake mix and a box of pudding. I love Cake Mix Doctor books because they give me so many ideas.
I’m linking up a pizza made with broccoli, mushroom, and red onion–but with the addition of bacon my spouse is always wanting me to add to nearly everything.
I’m also linking up a shockingly pink chili (next week you’ll be all about the red velvet? This week I’m all about the beets. It’s got me wondering if I can make a red velvet dessert using beets for coloring). This chili can be for vegetarians, carnivores, or whichever group isn’t eating beans these days.
Thanks for hosting!
