An easy lunch or picnic idea, these Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps are made with only 6 ingredients, come together in a snap, and are always a family pleaser.
Chicken wraps are one of my favorite, easy ways to get dinner on the table. Some other favorites are this California Club Chicken Wrap, Chicken Caesar Wrap, and BBQ Chicken Wraps.
When I’m looking for a way to change up lunches, or looking for an easy dinner idea, I often turn to wraps. What is better (and easier) than delicious ingredients wrapped up in a tortilla?
This Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap has been a favorite for years – especially with my kids. You put ranch dressing on something, and my kids are sure to love it!
This recipe is easy and fast – especially when you have cooked chicken on hand already. Yet another reason I love to cook it and keep some in the freezer at all times!
INGREDIENTS
Chicken – You need cooked, shredded chicken. I have a whole guide for you on how to cook the shredded chicken, or I have even made these with canned chicken.
Ranch Dressing – Use prepared dressing. Make sure it is a brand that you really love, because the flavor is very prominent.
Flour Tortillas – You’ll want the large, burrito size. Smaller will work, (you’ll have more than 6 wraps), but they are a little harder to assemble and roll.
Bacon – I use chopped bacon for my wraps, but you can definitely add in slices of bacon.
Lettuce – Shredded lettuce works the best. I usually use romaine, but feel free to use whatever variety you like.
Tomatoes – These are just diced tomatoes.
TIPS AND TRICKS
- All of your ingredients can be prepped in advance, but I don’t recommend assembling the wrap until at least the day you are going to eat them. I have made them in the morning for lunches and it works just fine. But anytime longer than a day – they tend to get soggy.
- When making a wrap, it’s best if your tortillas are fresh so that they roll easily without tearing. One of my favorite tricks, though, is to put your stack of tortillas in the microwave covered by a damp paper towel for 30 seconds. Then work quickly when they are done so that they stay nice and pliable.
- While this recipe is for Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps, feel free to use it as a guide and switch things up. Use blue cheese or thousand island dressing instead. Use leftover turkey instead of chicken. This recipe really is so easy, and easy to switch out ingredients.
- If you are making them earlier in the day to serve later, you’ll want to make sure you wrap them individually or place in a large container with a lid and then refrigerate them.

Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps
Ingredients
- 4 cups cooked shredded chicken (or 2 cans – 12.5 oz each – canned chunk chicken breast in water, drained)
- 3/4 cup ranch dressing
- 6 12-inch flour tortillas
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
- 1 1/2 cups shredded lettuce
- 1 1/2 cups diced tomatoes
Instructions
- Combine the chicken and the ranch dressing in a large bowl.
- Lay the tortillas out on a counter or work surface. (If the tortillas aren’t very pliable, heat in the microwave to soften so that they will roll without tearing.)
- Divide the chicken mixture evenly between the 6 tortillas, placing it down the center of the tortilla. Top with chopped bacon, shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes. Fold in the sides of the tortillas, then roll up.
- Cut in half to serve.

I’m sure it has something to do with being a food blogger, but the more i eat out, the less impressed I am. I guess that means my cooking skills have improved? 😛

Great idea to pack your own picnic – it takes a little prep, but it’s always better than a mediocre restaurant meal.

This is my kind of food. (Well, minus the chicken these days.) I love the idea of a weekly field trip. Last night my husband and I were talking, and I said “E and I should go somewhere tomorrow, but I have nothing to do.” But I feel like it is so good for her to get out of the house. I need a field trip buddy 🙂

@Rachel Cooks, getting out once a week definitely saves my sanity – and the kids, too!! Most weeks we go by ourselves, but luckily I do have a lot of family around so we meet up with them sometimes, too. But it’s surprisingly enjoyable when it’s just me and the kids as well!
