If you want to make your holiday dinner special without a lot of effort, you need this Cranberry Spritzer!
I’m all about a good mocktail for family friendly entertaining. And I don’t drink, so it’s fun for me to have a fancy drink, too!
The good thing about this recipe is that it is so easy and only requires a few ingredients. It’s easy to mix up just before serving, and it adds something a little special to your dinner table or holiday party.
This Cranberry Spritzer is sweet enough for the kids to love, too. I know that sometimes cranberry is too tart for the kids, but this is the perfect mix of sweet, sour, and tart.
Your next holiday gathering needs this drink!
Ingredients
- Cranberry Juice: I like to use this Simply Cranberry Cocktail because it is just cranberry juice and cane sugar.
- Lemon Lime Soda: You can use any lemon lime soda.
- Lemon Juice and Lime Juice: You want to make sure you are using freshly squeezed lemon and lime juice. Feel free to use all of one or the other, if desired.
How to Make a Cranberry Spritzer
STEP 1: Combine all of the ingredients in a large pitcher. I have a 1 gallon pitcher and everything fit perfectly.
STEP 2: Stir to combine. Pour over ice to serve.
Tips and Tricks
For a less sweet version, use 100% cranberry juice. Be careful when looking for it, because some brands are labeled 100% juice, but they are not 100% cranberry juice. They have other juices mixed in.
You can also use sparkling water instead of lemon-lime soda to cut back on the sweetness.
This drink is best made just before serving, because of the soda. If you do make it beforehand, the soda will be flat, but it’s still delicious.
