Super soft peppermint cookies hold another peppermint surprise in the center in these Candy Cane Kiss Stuffed Pudding Cookies.
If you love peppermint kisses, you also need to try these Peppermint Kiss Cookies.
If you haven’t tried the Candy Cane Kisses, you don’t know what you are missing. These things are delicious and addictive. Seriously. You start snacking on them, and before you know it, the bag is halfway empty. I wouldn’t know this personally, though. 😉
Somehow, though, I managed to keep my hand out of the bag so that I could make these cookies. Well, not all of the way out, because you don’t quite need the whole bag for this recipe. I did that on purpose. Because there is no way that I could use all of the kisses without being able to snack on them.
I wanted super soft cookies, so I went with a pudding cookie. If you haven’t tried pudding cookies, you definitely should try these out. They are super soft, and they stay that way. And since I’m a soft cookie kind of gal, these are right up my alley. Stuff them with a candy cane kiss, and I’m already sold, but then you melt more kisses and drizzle them over the outside of the cookies. They are peppermint heaven! Even my peppermint hating kids loved these.
How to Make Peppermint Kiss Stuffed Pudding Cookies
Take one ball of the cookie dough and set a kiss on top. I find that it’s easiest if you flatten the ball just a little bit.
Take another ball of dough and place it on top of the kiss. (Again, I slightly flatten the ball.)
Then just roll it all together into one big ball. It’s as easy as that!!
Bake the cookies just until they are browned on the edges – you don’t want to overbake them.
Once the cookies are cooked and cooled, take your remaining peppermint kisses and melt them. Drizzle them over the top of the cookies. The the chocolate drizzle harden before serving the cookies.

Candy Cane Kiss Stuffed Pudding Cookies
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter at room temperature
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 package (3.4 oz) instant white chocolate pudding (mix only)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 44 Candy Cane Hershey’s Kisses Chocolates unwrapped, divided
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and both sugars until light and fluffy. Add in the eggs and mix until completely combined. Add in the peppermint extract.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, pudding mix, baking soda, and salt. Add the dry ingredients into the butter mixture and mix until combined.
- For the dough into tablespoon sized balls. Take one ball and place a kiss in the center. Top with another ball, and form the dough into a large ball, encasing the kiss in the middle of the dough. Place on a baking sheet, at least 3 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly browned. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.
- Once cool, melt the remaining 20 kisses in a microwave safe bowl in 15 second increments until they are completely melted and smooth. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cooled cookies. All the chocolate to set up before serving.

I made these last Christmas and they are now on my “every year” Christmas baking list! This year I only had the sugar free pudding mix on hand and they still turned out great!
Deborah says
Yay!! And it’s good to know that the sugar free pudding works as well!
Maddie says
I just made these today and they are super delicious! What other flavors could you make with this recipe?
Deborah says
I’m glad you liked them!! I think they would work with any kisses except the ones with liquid centers. Those might work, but I haven’t tried – I’d just be worried that the centers would make a mess.
Sylvia says
I’m so confused about the 34 oz of instant pudding, that seems like so much. Did you just mean one box of instant pudding?
Deborah says
haha – I didn’t even catch that! It should be 3.4 oz – it has been fixed. Thanks!
Dina says
they look yummy and pretty!

Candy cane kisses are probably the only candy I actually CRAVE. I just love those little crunchy bits and the refreshing peppermint flavor! They must be so perfect stuffed into cookies!
Chels R. says
How good do those look! I love that they are stuffed with kisses!
Marlene says
Would this work with other flavors of kisses as well, or does the texture of the peppermint kisses differ enough to make them unique? Thanks in advance…when I make these, I’ll try a few with other kisses I have on hand and report back.
Deborah says
I think other kisses will work as long as they aren’t ones with liquid centers – like the caramel ones.
Marlene says
That was my guess, too, Deborah. I couldn’t find white chocolate pudding so will have to use vanilla. Might try with chocolate as well!

Oh my, I gotta have these!

Oh I love the filling!, So festive and unique. The colour swirls of the inside chocolate are so pretty. Got to try stuffing my cookie next time!

Candy cane kisses are my favorite kind! I love that you hid them in these cookies. What an excellent surprise to bite into one of these soft, flavorful cookies and find a melted candy cane kiss!
