The Best One Bowl Brownies
We have turned into that family that has the Costco sized container of Nutella in our pantry at all times. I probably shouldn’t admit how often we go through that, too.
Yes, we love Nutella. (Especially my oldest son. He could live off of it if I let him.)
Every once in awhile, I love to do complicated, time consuming, or difficult. But 95% of the time, I’m all about easy. And it doesn’t get easier than this recipe – only 3 ingredients and one bowl!
Which is why I always like to come back to this recipe. I forget just how easy and delicious these Nutella Brownies are. We definitely won’t wait so long to make them again!!
Ingredients
Nutella: I have only ever made these using name brand Nutella. I’m guessing an off brand would work, but I’m not as sure about just a chocolate spread.
Eggs: Use large eggs. Your brownies will work best if they are at room temperature.
Flour: I use all-purpose flour. And I know that 10 tablespoons is a bit of a weird measurement for brownies, but it really is the perfect amount to give you a nice, fudgy brownie.
How to Make Nutella Brownies
All you need is one bowl for mixing and a baking pan to bake them in!
- Line a baking dish with parchment paper. This will make it easier to get the brownies out after they are baked.
- In your bowl, combine the Nutella, eggs, and flour. The batter will be very thick.
- Spread the batter into the prepared pan. It will be a little difficult because the batter is so thick. I like to spray a spatula with nonstick cooking spray and use that to gently work the batter into an even layer.
- Bake just until the edges are set. Don’t overbake!
- Enjoy!
Tips and Tricks
- The biggest tip for making your brownies fudgy – do not overbake them. There is nothing that will dry your brownies right up like overbaking them. You want to bake them just until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few crumbs on it. The center will probably still look just a bit gooey, but the edges will be set.
- Keep in mind that the brownies will continue to cook as they sit in the pan after you take them out of the oven, that is why it is important that you take them out early enough.
- Finished brownies can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
- They will also freeze well. Wrap tightly with plastic wrap (or foil). I then like to put them in a freezer safe ziplock bag or freezer safe container. Freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw them overnight in the refrigerator.

I LOVED these when I made them. They made perfect little treats to put in the Christmas baskets and I always have the ingredients on hand to make them when company comes over.

i personally enjoy a larger serving (especially if nutella is involved), so the mini muffin pan is useless to me anyway. 🙂

I bought some Nutella today, only because I couldn't find hazelnuts to make my own. I've had a recipe for the spread I've been dying to make. Now I HAVE to find some hazelnuts to make these…of course, I do have walnuts.

I understand. I left 3/4 cup water out of a chocolate cupcake recipe last week. Stuff happens.
I have a serious nutella addiction as well. These look amazing!

I gotta say that I LOVE the idea of 4 ingredient cooking. These look delicious and I happen to have all the ingredients on hand.
Cute story about using the wrong pan size. I do similar things myself, especially when the kids are around. They distract me!
