Have you ever received one of those big tins of popcorn? I admit that I love popcorn in any form, so I love those big tins.
But do you know what would be even better? A big tin filled with this Peanut Butter Popcorn!
This is one of my favorite popcorn recipes. You will love it – especially if you are a peanut butter lover. And it’s super easy. This Peanut Butter Popcorn is the perfect treat for the family to snack on for movie night or for any snack time! It would also make
Ingredients:
Popcorn: If you are popping your own popcorn, you’ll want 1/2 cup of popcorn. If you are using popped popcorn, you’ll need about 16 cups of popcorn.
Sugar: You’ll want regular, granulated sugar.
Corn Syrup: Use light corn syrup, not dark corn syrup.
Peanut Butter: The best peanut butter for this is a processed peanut butter instead of a natural peanut butter. It will work with either, but the processed (like Jif or Skippy) will give you a better end product.
Vanilla Extract: I always like to use real vanilla extract.
How to Make Peanut Butter Popcorn (video)
Tips and Tricks
- The biggest tip is to make sure you don’t boil the mixture for more than 2 minutes. All you need to do is melt the sugar. If you cook it too long, the mixture will become really thick, and it will be hard to stir into the popcorn. If you are having this problem, try reducing the cook time by a few seconds.
- Make sure you remove any unpopped kernels before adding the peanut butter mixture.
- This popcorn will last up to a week, but trust me – it will be gone well before then!
- Change it up by mixing in some peanuts, m&ms, or reese’s pieces. Or sprinkle in some salt for a contrast in flavors.

Just found your blog from my cousin Amy who is married to your brother (I think that's your relationship) and I really like it! I love cooking and baking, so you're doing what I will hopefully have time to do someday!

My sister is going to visit my parents next week and I will not. I have some studying to do for exams early January. Sob, sob, sob. Tonight I will try christmas cake (very first time!) and plan to make something every evening till Saturday, for her to take home. Questions. If I make this, what would be the ideal packaging? Which cookies would you recommend and packaging? Also other ideas beside cookies? And for each item please let me know the best before number of days. She will travel about 250km by bus.

I must make this! Is this supposed to be a gooey popcorn? I notice that baking it to make it crispy isn't in the directions. Man, I can just see myself drizzling some chocolate over this stuff. mmmmmm…
