A little bit sweet and a little bit tart, these Cranberry Brie Bites are perfect for any holiday party. Only 3 ingredients, you can’t go wrong with this easy appetizer.
Sometimes you just need some really easy appetizers. Serve these Cranberry Brie Bites alongside these Crockpot BBQ Grape Jelly Meatballs and Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms for the perfect appetizer spread!
I am always on the lookout for new appetizer ideas. I absolutely love brie en croute, but I decided to try something a little different here. I wanted something that was easier to grab and go – and these little bites are exactly that. No need for a plate, no need for a knife. Just your fingers!! And believe me when I say that this is one of the easiest recipes ever. Just 3 ingredients – crescent dough, brie, and cranberry sauce.
If you need an appetizer idea for this holiday season, these little bites will be the hit of the party!
How to Make Them
- All you need is crescent dough for the “cups”. Remove the dough from the can and separate it into 4 rectangles. Press the seams together.
- Cut each rectangle into 4 pieces.
- Place each of the 16 pieces of dough into a greased mini muffin tin.
- Cut the brie into 16 pieces and place a piece in each cup.
- Top each with 1/2 teaspoon of cranberry sauce.
- Bake until the crescent dough is golden brown.
Substitutions
- If you don’t have crescent dough, or don’t like it, you can use either puff pastry or refrigerated thin crust pizza dough. I have made all three, and the crescent dough is my favorite, followed by puff pastry.
- Camembert cheese can be substituted for brie cheese.
- I also have these Crescent Raspberry Brie Bites if you prefer raspberry over cranberry.
Tips and Tricks
- You do not have to remove the rind from the brie – it is totally edible. If you like it better without the rind, though, feel free to remove it.
- If making these Cranberry Brie Bites ahead of time, store them in the refrigerator. Bring to room temperature before popping in the oven for a few minutes to reheat.
- Most of the time, the brie sold at the grocery store comes in 8 oz or 16 oz wheels, so feel free to double this recipe. It doubles very easily!
