Well, these Garlic and Cheddar Sour Cream Biscuits are my answer to the weeknight side dish problem. Forget the yeast, these biscuits can be on the table in under 30 minutes. The perfect weeknight dinner side!!
These are actually really easy, as well. I decided to throw something together a little while back, and started with a sour cream biscuit. I thought they needed something more, so I didn’t give up until I had these biscuits. And they are goooood. But that’s kinda obvious, because we know that anything with cheddar and garlic has to be good!!
If you’re looking for something easy to serve with that soup or that pasta tonight, give these Garlic and Cheddar Sour Cream Biscuits a try!
Ingredients
Flour: I use all-purpose flour.
Baking Powder and Baking Soda: Both the baking powder and baking soda work together to give you nice, fluffy biscuits.
Salt: This will enhance the other flavors.
Sour Cream: I use full fat sour cream for these biscuits. It helps with the texture and helps to keep them nice and moist.
Cheese: The sharper the cheddar, the more flavor you will get. But feel free to use any cheddar cheese here. You could even switch things up and use Monterey Jack, or pepper jack would be delicious!
Garlic: You really want fresh garlic for these biscuits. Garlic powder won’t give you the garlicky flavor that you want.
Butter: The butter is for brushing on top of the biscuits.

I love your comment about 3 things on the plate. You are not alone. I’m okay with soup/stew/chili with bread as long as I know there’s lot of vegetables involved.
