This is a great Christmas dessert – or great for after Christmas when you have leftover candy canes!
Who says you can’t eat ice cream in December? This Marshmallow Peppermint Sauce is proof that ice cream is a must have holiday treat. I am a huge fan of marshmallow sauce on ice cream, and making it peppermint turns this into the perfect holiday dessert. But don’t get mad at me if you find yourself eating this by the spoonful!!

Peppermint Marshmallow Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 cup crushed candy canes (5.3 oz, or about 12 candy canes)
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 (7-ounce) jar jar marshmallow creme
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and cook over medium heat, stiring constantly, until the candy canes have melted.
- Serve over ice cream.
