Who says you can’t eat ice cream in December? This Marshmallow Peppermint Sauce is proof that ice cream is a must have holiday treat. I am a huge fan of marshmallow sauce on ice cream, and making it peppermint turns this into the perfect holiday dessert. But don’t get mad at me if you find yourself eating this by the spoonful!!
Peppermint Marshmallow Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 cup crushed candy canes
- 1 cup cream
- 1 7- ounce jar marshmallow creme
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and cook over medium heat, stiring constantly, until the candy canes have melted. Store in the refrigerator. Serve over ice cream.

I would love a copy of the cookbook. Ice cream is definitely a holiday food, especially peppermint ice cream with hot fudge sauce. My favorite salad this year is kale salad simply dressed with olive oil and lemon juice. I usually add green onions and often include nuts and cheese.
