Take ramen to a new level with this easy, family friendly Ramen Vegetable Beef Skillet.
If you’ve got more packages of those ramen noodles, also save some for this Asian Chicken Noodle Soup!
I wasn’t originally going to share this Ramen Vegetable Beef Skillet. But once I made it, I knew that it needed to be shared. It was so easy, and my whole family loved it.
This is a perfect weeknight meal that comes together very easily, and is actually decently low in calories. And even though it has lots of veggies in it, kids will love it, too!
Ingredients
Ground Beef: Ground beef makes this recipe easy and fast. You could also use ground turkey.
Vegetables: I used a mixture of carrots, onions, and Napa cabbage. The Napa cabbage is more tender than the regular cabbage, and it works really well in this recipe. Feel free to change up your vegetables if you want to play with it, though!
Liquids: You’ll need water to cook the noodles, plus we’ll season this with some soy sauce. I recommend low-sodium soy sauce.
Noodles and Seasoning: You need one package of ramen noodles, plus the seasoning mixture. You won’t use all of the seasoning packet.

Tips and Tricks
The first time I made this, I used the whole seasoning packet, and it was a bit too salty. I would suggest starting with half of the package and then tasting when it’s done, and adding more to taste.
If you’re trying to stretch the recipe a little farther, you can add a second package of noodles. Just make sure you add more water, soy sauce, and seasoning, and make sure your pan is large enough!
You can save any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

- ¾ cup diced onion
- 2 cups shredded napa cabbage
- 1 cup water
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 oz package beef ramen noodles
Instructions
- Combine the beef, carrots and onion in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook until the meat is no longer pink and the vegetables are tender. Drain, if needed.

An impulse buy at Costco has resulted in a mass amount of Ramen noodles at my house. I will definitely have to try this.

I can sure relate this post. Everything from the lighting and the timing to just wanted to enjoy the food I make rather than making time stand still to snap dozens of photos while th food gets cold Heck, I even reheat the food the next day to take pictures after I get off work sometimes just so I can have sunlight to take pictures and the ability to enjoy the meal when it is still HOT!
This looks like a quick and easy meal. I love ramen and we always keep a few packages in the kitchen. It’s the ultimate comfort food in my house and one of our go to meals when we are feeling under the weather. I love it doctored up too and I can’t wait to try this recipe.

I SO know what you mean. Lately I’ve just been making extra so I photograph it the next day. Love this Ramen Recipe! I’m making Chinese Food for my husband tomorrow and I’m pretty sure this just made the list!

I used to blog about everything also, good and bad, but i’ve become much more selective. If it’s not WOW-worthy, it doesn’t get on the blog. And it is SO nice not to have to take pictures of EVERYTHING.
I haven’t had ramen in FOREVER, but you just induced a craving. A serious one. Thanks. 😛

I definitely cannot wait for it to stay lighter out longer. The sun has been setting around 4:30-5 pm lately and I dont get home till about 4, so my photos have been suffering. But I’m still cooking!
Your ramen dish looks tasty!
Have a great day!

I’ve MADE this one before!!! I was just thinking when I was looking at the picture, that it looked like one of the first recipes I ever made like 5-6 years ago when I started receiving the Taste of Home Magazine! I remember Josh really liked it. I think I still have this recipe buried away or maybe it got thrown away. But this was good, I too, only use half the seasoning packet, but its a great cheap meal! I’m going to have to go dig it up now!

Ok, now you’ve got me craving Ramen… which I don’t think has happened since college! This looks WAY more delicious than the way I enjoyed it then, though! Thanks for sharing, Deborah.

This is the perfect weeknight meal. Another fabulous recipe of yours I am adding to my menu. I can totally relate to wanting to make dinner and eat at a normal hour. Looking forward to summer when it is light until 9 and making dinner and taking photos at 6-7 o’clock can still be done in natural light.
