7 months ago, I joined forces with Reddi-wip to talk all about sharing joy. Little did I know how much I would actually need all of this. I was tasked with talking about how in sharing joy with others, more joy is found in your own life. Halfway through this “joy journey”, our lives got turned upside-down with something that could have very well stripped all of the joy from our lives. Instead, we have tried to concentrate on being happy and positive, and sharing that with those around us. And believe me, we have felt so much joy through the things that other people have done for us. I chose joy. I chose to share that joy and positivity with others. And I think because of that, we are in a much happier, healthier place than we could have been. It reminds me of a quote that I read a few months ago:
When we share joy and happiness, we give two of the most powerful healing medicines in the world. Source Unknown
I have shared family favorite recipes that bring us joy, ways to share joy with your children, how you can share the joy with neighbors and friends, how sharing joy can brighten someone’s day, and how we can feel joy ourselves so that we are able to share the joy with others. It has been quite the journey, and it has really made a joyful impact in my life. I know that I want more joy in my life, and this has been a great way to see how sharing joy with others can truly bring more joy into my life.
And moving forward, I know that if I ever find myself in a slump, I know now that through giving and sharing, I can bring that joy and happiness back.
I would love for you to share ways that you share the joy with others by using the hashtag #ShareTheJoy on social media. We can all learn from each other!
Another way to bring joy? I think these pretty pink Strawberry Cream Floats are a guaranteed way to bring a smile to anyone’s face! I’ve never been a huge root beer float fan, but I can totally get behind these beauties. You start by making a simple strawberry syrup (made from real strawberries!) Add some lemon-lime soda and a few scoops of your favorite vanilla ice cream. And you can’t forget the whoosh of Reddi-wip to top the whole thing off!! Reddi-wip is made from real cream and has no hydrogenated oils, so it’s a win!
I was actually surprised by how much I loved these Strawberry Cream Floats. I’m pretty sure they will become a staple around here all spring and summer long!
