1/3cupvegetable oilor other neutral flavored oil
2large eggs
1teaspoonvanilla extract
1cupchocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, or spray with nonstick cooking spray.
In a bowl, combine the cake mix, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Mix everything together until it is almost mixed, but a few dry patches will still remain. The dough will be stiff.
Add the chocolate chips and continue to mix until there are no dry patches and the chocolate chips are evenly distributed.
Press the batter into the prepared baking dish.
Bake until a tester inserted in the middle comes out almost clean, about 20-25 minutes.
Let the brownies cool, then cut into bars for serving. If desired, sprinkle the top with powdered sugar.
Notes
*If you are using a 13.25 oz cake mix, you’ll need to add in 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour. When testing the brownies to see if they are done, you may want to test in more than one spot, just in case you hit a chocolate chip.Nutrition information provided as an estimate only.
