A fun (and delicious!) appetizer, this Fried Ravioli is easy because it starts with frozen ravioli. It’s perfect for game day or any kind of get-together.
In a heavy duty skillet, heat about 1/2” of oil to 350ºF.
Oil
Place the flour in a shallow bowl.
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
In another dish, whisk the eggs.
2 eggs
In a third dish, combine the bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning.
1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs, 1/3 cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese, 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
Working in batches, dip a ravioli in the flour, lightly coating. Then dip in the egg, making sure the ravioli is coated. Last, dip in the breadcrumb mixture. Use your hands to press the breadcrumbs into the ravioli, if needed.
9 oz cheese ravioli
Place the coated ravioli in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side. Remove to a cooling rack over a baking sheet or a paper towel lined plate. Continue with the ravioli until all are fried.
Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
