A great side dish for a take out at home meal, this Lo Mein Recipe is simple, fast and full of flavor. And it’s very adaptable to what you have on hand!

Ingredients
2tablespoonsvegetable oil
1cupsnow peashalved on a diagonal
1cupshredded Napa cabbage
1small red bell pepperseeded and cut into matchstick sized pieces
4green onionsthinly sliced on a diagonal
1tablespoongrated fresh ginger
4clovesgarlicminced or grated
8ozlo mein noodles or thin spaghetti noodlescooked to al dente
1/2cupsoy sauce
1tablespoonoyster sauce
1teaspoonsugar
1teaspoontoasted sesame oil
Instructions
Heat a wok or a large skillet over high heat. When the pan is hot, add the oil.
Immediately add the snow peas, cabbage, red bell pepper and green onions. Cook for 5 minutes, or until slightly softened. Add the ginger and the garlic and cook for 2 more minutes.
Add the cooked noodles and toss to combine.
In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar and sesame oil. Add the sauce to the pan and toss until the noodles are coated.
Serve warm.
Notes
Thin spaghetti noodles can be substituted for the lo mein noodles if you can’t find them.This recipe has been updated since it was first published.
