Ingredients
1box red velvet cake mixplus the ingredients listed on the box
2 1/2cupsmixed berries
1tablespoonsugar
4ouncescream cheesesoftened
3/4cuppowdered sugar
1/2teaspoonvanilla extract
Pinchof salt
1/4 to 1/3cupmilkwarmed
Instructions
Prepare the cake mix according to the box directions.
Preheat your waffle iron. When warmed, spray the waffle iron with nonstick cooking spray.
Pour the batter onto the waffle maker, being careful to not overfill the iron. Cook according to the manufacturers instructions.
Mix the berries and the sugar together in a bowl. Let the berries sit for 5-10 minutes.
To make the cream cheese drizzle, mix together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt. Whisk in the milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.
Serve the waffles topped with some of the berries and a drizzle of the cream cheese mixture.
