Ingredients
4slicesof baconchopped
1poundground beef
Salt and pepper
1cupchopped onion
1jalapeñochopped (seeds and ribs removed for less heat)
2clovesgarlicchopped
1tablespoonchili powder
1 1/2teaspoonsground cumin
1 1/2teaspoonsground coriander
1cupbeef broth
1(8 oz) cantomato sauce
2tablespoonsWorcestershire sauce
1tablespoonlight brown sugar
1tablespoonapple cider vinegar
1tablespoonhot saucesuch as Frank’s Red Hot
4hamburger bunstoasted
Pickled jalapeñosfor topping (optional)
Crushed Fritosfor topping (optional)
Instructions
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the bacon and cook until crisp. Remove with a slotted spoon to a paper towel lined plate to drain.

In the same skillet, add the ground beef. Cook, breaking it up as it browns, until cooked through. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in the onion, jalapeño, garlic, chili powder, cumin and coriander. Cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.

In a bowl, mix together the beef broth, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, cider vinegar, and hot sauce. Pour over the beef mixture. Bring to a boil and cook until you reach your desired thickness, 5 to 10 minutes. Stir in the reserved bacon.

Serve the meat on top of toasted buns with pickled jalapeños and crushed Fritos.
